DR A.O FEHINTOLA
Dr. Akintunde Olusegun Fehintola was born on the 6th of November, 1974 in Ibadan, Oyo State. I had my secondary school education at Urban-Day Grammar School, Ring Road, Ibadan between 1985 and 1993. I had my university education at the University of Ibadan between 1996 and 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Medicine,Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Degree in 2002. I obtained the fellowship of the National Post-graduate Medical College in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FMCOG) in 2014 with special interest in Urogynaecology/Gynaecological Endoscopy. I had Fellowship and Diploma Degrees in Minimal Access Surgery from World Laparoscopy Hospital in India in 2012. I had a Masters Degree in in Public Health (MPH) at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 2013. I joined the service of the Obafemi Awolowo University on the 1st December, 2016 as Lecturer 1. I have authored/ co-authored 22 research articles published in highly referred peer reviewed international and local journals. I have participated in various activities in the Department, Faculty, College of Health Sciences and the university at large. I am the Focal person on Fistula working Committee representing the department and liaising between the hospital and Engender Health. I am a member of the academic board of the department as well as the secretary of the Journal accreditation Committee of the department. I am presently in the protocol unit for the forthcoming Faculty week. . I offer community service and Research in many areas of women’s health particularly in Reproductive Health I am active in the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria where contribute to review of short cases and long documentaries for candidates at part 1 examination. I am actively involved in the teaching of undergraduate and post graduate students in Obstetrics and Gyneacology, Full time/ Part time Bsc Nursing, and in the School of Perioperative Nursing. I am married with three children.
